Kidz Online believes in technology. We know that computers offer interactive learning opportunities for all types of students. We specialize in helping prepare teachers with the learning and tools that they need to use technology as a teaching and learning tool.

Do not worry if you're not a technology expert, KOL's free teacher training videos will set you up with the necessary knowledge and technology skills to enrich your lessons and engage your students.

It's here at Kidz Online where you will find the technology tools that will empower your students and prepare them up for success in today's knowledge based society.





For each technology topic there are videos and lessons which:
a) help teachers learn new technology skills and
b) can be used with students to help teach technology

Technology integrated lesson plans are also available for most topics listed. Once a teacher has learned new technology skills, they can search for standards-based core academic lesson plans that integrate that technology.

Step 1. Pick a technology, learn the technology
Step 2. Work with your students using these resources to help teach the technology
Step 3. Search for a lesson plan that integrates this technology (e.g. web page creation)
Step 4. Integrate other videos to support learning (Streaming Futures, KTK Live!, gURL Tech or TIA)

For example… A teacher works through the Web Page Creation training resources and decides that they are ready to integrate this technology into their science class.

A search of our lesson plans, in science that use Web Page Creation as the technology would reveal the following lesson plans: Endangered Species, Ozone, Technology Inventions, Solar Energy, Medical Inventions and Volcanoes.

With support from the Web Page Creation training videos and resources, the teacher can now teach a science unit that integrates web pages. The teacher does not have to be the technology expert, our resources support the students as they need it.
