  •

On December 11th 2003, Nortel Networks Kidz Online had the honor to be an invited guest to webcast the dedication ceremony of the new Smithsonian Air and Space Musuem. It is called the Steven Udvar-Hazy Center in honor of its major donor, International Lease Finance Corp CEO, Steven Udvar-Hazy. Invited guests and honorees at the dedication ceremony included Vice President Dick Chaney, Chief Justice William Rehnquist, John Travolta, Steven Udvar-Hazy, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, John Glenn, and many other heroes in air and space. The ceremony included a tribute by John Travolta to the heroes who had contributed to the state of air and space today, a message from the Space station astronauts, and a dramatic curtain reveal of the musuem by a Wright replica plane. This ceremony also gave guests the honor of seeing the museum before it opened to the public.
