Joel Holland, age 18, has been starting and running businesses since he was 12, and is currently the Chief Marketing Officer for Nortel Networks Kidz Online, as well as the producer of Streaming Futures, a national teen career show dedicated to helping teens choose the right career path. Holland is ranked in the top 10 nationwide for his marketing skills through DECA, a national organization with more than 300,000 teen members, and was named Business Student of the Year by the McLean, Virginia, Chamber of Commerce in 2002. He was awarded second place in Virginia for the Journalism Education Association High School Journalist of the Year Contest in 2003, and currently writes a monthly column for Entrepreneur Magazine’s teen supplement, and resides on the USA Today Teen Panel.
Joel is currently taking a year off to focus on expanding and growing interest in Streaming Futures and Kidz Online before attending Babson College in the fall of 2004, where he will study business. (Babson is a small business school in Wellesley, Massachusetts and is ranked #1 in the US for its entrepreneurship program).
