testimony of Deputy Secretary Hansen from the US Deptartment of
Education, and the testimony of Arnold Schwarzenegger to
Members of Congress about the benefits of afterschool programs.
The Administration's budget has proposed cutting the 21st
Century Community Learning Centers afterschool program by 40
percent in fiscal year 2004 and Mr. Schwarzenegger urged
Congress not to cut funding.
