Kidz Online made a presentation to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) during the October 6 Symposium “Unleashing the Power of Broadband”.

Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Producer of Streaming Futures Joel Holland detailed how the KOL approach uniquely demonstrates the return on the investment in broadband technology by schools and other educational organizations. Frances Bradburn, Director of Instructional Technologies from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction shared their successful experience to use KOL as a state wide teacher training resource. The presentation was moderated by the director of education, Michael Connet.

The presentation included a brief discussion about how KOL teacher created lesson plans provide a framework for the kid staff development and production of mediated learning resources.
